One of our scholars, Rickie August Jr was featured on KHOU 11 on the 10:00 PM news segment last night. Rickie "Junior" saved a little girl from drowning in a pool. He swam to the bottom of the pool and put her over his shoulders and swam to the surface where others were able to assist and provide CPR to the little girl. The family of the little girl hosted a celebration and invited Rickie and his family so they could recognize him for his heroic actions.
We are so proud of our scholar! Rickie is going to the 5th grade and is a student at Champions Academy. WOW!
